Reference: UMMO
02:47am 14/01/2005
In searching for web-based information on UMMO I came across this website created by [info]algmor3yx. This site offers complex mind-bending perspectives in the shadow of eschaton.

I first learned of the word UMMO many years ago reading the non-fiction works of philosopher Robert Anton Wilson as he makes reference to it in his books. The "UMMO letters" began circulating in the 1960s and they laid out sophisticated scientifc and social theories that many believed were extraterrestrial (or ultraterrestial) in origin. The level of knowledge exhibited in these writings, if not extraterrestrial in origin, were at least (to paraphrase Mr. Wilson) "the combined work of a couple of dozen bright PhD candidates." The UMMO-Sciences library collects the essential texts and translates them into various languages. The information contained therein might be of particular interest to quantum researchers.

"UMMO is just another aspect of the Hidden Current. Since the Golden Dawn we have witnesed an explosion of Revealed Knowledge. The Information Age will bring everything into the Light soon enough." - Tunniggan

: A skeptical perspective on UMMO :

I note that I recall Mr. Wilson discounted the hypothesis that Dr. Jose Luis Jordan Pena concocted the UMMO "hoax," as he claimed. There were too many holes in his admission that negatively affected his credibility. A lot of people believed he wasn't smart or capable enough to have pulled it off by himself. Esteemed UFO researcher Jacques Vallee (who people may remember from his association with Steven Spielberg) suggested the possibility that it was the product of a Cold War intelligence agency disinformation battle.

Orpheus Becomes As Hermes/Aphrodite
02:22am 14/01/2005
In an archetypal sense, Jesus embodies aspects of both genders, a continuation of the Orphic mythos. If one takes hermaphroditism to mean an alchemical union between Man (Hermes) and Woman (Aphrodite), than a hermaphroditic Jesus indeed embodies the alchemist's vision of the perfect human. - [info]hypukky

Rapture Ready

It is always fascinating to pose a theological question to a large group of people, I revel in the diversity of response, which ranges from sarcasm to poignant, intelligent insights. I received much response to my tsunami eschatology question on both the [info]2_0_1_2 and [info]christianity communities, but thus far no replies from any persons in the [info]hindus community.

: Christianity Link :

Surprised at the non-response from the Hindu community, I Googled "kali yuga tsunami" and this article appeared first:

Deadly Tsunami Resurrects the Old Question of Why: Leaders of various faith traditions have different interpretations of how such human suffering can occur under a benevolent God. )

The religious leaders profiled in this article express theological positions that fit in well with the mainstream currents of their various faiths. However, a look at the website Rapture Ready and its message board reveals that eschatology is a vibrant force within North American Christianity. No less than 14,990 persons are registered on their board, and they have made 857,829 posts on "the end times."

I believe that the tsunami will prove to be another spike point for a leap in the number of persons subscribing to eschatological beliefs. Other recent jumps were probably sparked by the 9.11 disaster and the hoopla around Y2K. I definitely feel that there will be more Hindu groups in India proclaiming this to be one of the worst manifestations of the Kali Yuga. The brief mention in the article above confirms this belief, as does my own connection and conversation with people in India at this present time.

Query
I was doing some research for my [info]couch_historian lj when i stumbled across a theory that promptly grasped my attention and held it for some time.

http://www.thevesselofgod.com/home.html

According to the article Lucifer's Children: The Grail Bloodline and the descendents of Cain, the author reports the theory that the Grail Bloodline included the blood of Lucifer or at least blood of Nephilim descent. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this theory and could expound upon it for me.

The work of Boyd Rice is largely influenced by the seminal book on this subject, Holy Blood, Holy Grail by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln, whose theories are heavily complemented by those of Prince Michael. The idea that Lucifer and Jesus are brethern (whether this is taken genetically or allegorically), or similar ideas, dates back to the earliest Christian Gnostics and is present in various secret societies and heresies throughout the ages. The Cross of Lorraine and other dual-cross symbols represent both Jesus and Lucifer, according to many traditions and interpretations. The Process Church actually used to have a cross on one side of their temple across from a pentagram with a Goat of Mendes.

Most of Rice's research, writing and the development of his theories was done in concert with Tracy Twyman, publisher of Dagobert's Revenge magazine. You will find many of his articles posted on her website, although I understand that Twyman and Rice recently had a falling out that may affect the availability of these articles in the near future.

Coincidentally, I referenced this very subject in my journal a couple of days ago.

Crowley Can Stick It Up His Ass
03:20pm 11/01/2005
There is one thing many Thelemites and practicing sex magi don't understand, and that is that anal sex is a purely Crowleyan conceit. While it has its obvious merits in ritual practice, there are other gateways that are just as effective, if not more so. Basic study of Eastern sexual mysticism proves this to be the case. I can only conclude that Mr. Crowley was an anal fetishist.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Of course.

Exploring The Eschatology Of The Tsunami Disaster
06:54pm 10/01/2005
I see a grand wave of eschatology in the wake of the tsunami disaster. Do any of you foresee the imminent demise of the Kali Yuga, or do any of you see, or are any of you in the throes of, an acceleration toward Apocalypse and The Rapture (or however eschaton is described in your belief system)?

I posted variations of this question to [info]2_0_1_2 and [info]hindus. I will post a variation of this question to [info]christianity upon my acceptance to that community.

I hope to receive some interesting answers.

The Satanic Threat In The New Millennium
02:13am 10/01/2005
This amusing article by William H. Kennedy is linked from Tracy Twyman's Dagobert's Revenge website. I am unable to ascertain Mr. Kennedy's specific theological leanings from his website beyond him being an outspoken anti-Satanist defending Christianity in some form or other. His article is more well-researched with as many citations and references as one of academic rigor, which makes this a much more interesting read than typical speculative writing or theological polemic. He implicates Aleister Crowley as the worst of the Luciferian lot, and does not leave Anton LaVey, Gerald Gardner, Michael Aquino, L. Ron Hubbard, The Process Church, Charles Manson, Bobby Beausoleil, Kenneth Anger or Boyd Rice out of the great Satanic conspiracy. The bit about Rice seems tacked on. I heard recently that he and Twyman dissolved their relationship, business partnership and fraternal order and they are said to be in legal dispute over the magazine. I interpret Kennedy's polemic on Rice as a shot in solidarity with Twyman.
